Replacing electrical fuses in the block located under the glove box
If the electrical equipment fails, check the electrical fuses in the block located on the right, under the glove compartment.
1. Turn the ignition switch and other switches to the "Off" position.

2. Remove the cover (fig. 1.199).
3. Turn the locking handles counterclockwise and lower the fuse box.
4. Using the table on the inside of the cover, determine the socket in which the fuse for the corresponding electrical circuit or power consumer is located.
5. Remove the fuse from its socket using the pliers located on the inside of the fuse box cover in the engine compartment.

6. Check the fuse condition. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new one (fig. 1.200).
7. Insert a new fuse of the same rating into the socket. Check that the fuse fits tightly into the socket. If the fuse does not fit tightly, have it checked by an authorized Mazda dealer. If a spare fuse of the required rating is not available, temporarily use a fuse that protects an electrical device that does not significantly affect the operation of the vehicle, such as the fuse in the "MIRROR" or "CIGAR" socket (cigarette lighter).
Replacing electrical fuses in the underhood unit (in the engine compartment)
1. If the headlights or other electrical equipment do not work, and the fuses located in the passenger compartment are in good condition, check the fuses in the underhood block.

2. Remove the fuse box cover (fig. 1.201).
3. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new one rated for the same current rating.
Note: To replace the "MAIN" fuse, contact an authorized Mazda dealer.
