Tighten the parking brake lever firmly. Make sure the lever travel is the specified number of clicks (check the ratchet clicks by ear).
Lever stroke length: 7-8 clicks.
Check the parking brake lever assembly for bending, damage or cracks and replace if necessary.
Check the cables and equalizer for wear or damage. If a fault is found, replace the component in question.
Check the parking brake indicator switch. If a fault is found, replace the corresponding component.
Check whether the components are deformed by contact with other parts. If a fault is found, replace the corresponding component.
