Switch «AUTO» (Auto mode) (see fig. 1.107).
Pressing the switch «AUTO» (Auto mode) the climate control system performs the following automatic functions (in accordance with the set air temperature in the passenger compartment):
- regulation of the temperature of the air supplied to the passenger compartment;
- fan speed control (the amount of air supplied to the cabin);
- switching modes of air distribution;
- switching modes of supply ventilation and air recirculation;
- turning the air conditioner on and off.
- air conditioner changeover «A/C» or «A/C ECON» (see fig. 1.107).
Indicator built into the switch button «AUTO»
When the indicator is lit, it indicates that the climate control system is operating in automatic mode.
If the built-in indicator is off, this indicates that the driver has manually changed one or more modes of the climate control system (for example, switched the air distribution mode, changed the fan speed, pressed the air conditioner switch or the windshield defroster switch). In this case, the system will maintain the mode set manually by the driver. Otherwise, the climate control system will continue to operate in automatic mode.
Switch «OFF» (turned off)
Pressing the switch «OFF» the climate control system is turned off.
Air temperature controller
Pic. 1.108. Air temperature control
The air temperature is adjusted by turning the knob. Turning the knob clockwise increases the air temperature, while turning it counterclockwise decreases it (pic. 1.108).
Fan speed switch
Pic. 1.109. Fan speed control
There are seven fan speeds. The selected fan speed is shown in the information display (pic. 1.109).
Air distribution mode switch.
With the switch you can select the desired air distribution mode (see fig. 1.107).
If the air distribution mode is enabled and the air temperature is set at an average level, then warm air will flow into the footwell area of the driver and passengers, and cooler air will be directed into the passenger compartment through the central and side ventilation grilles located in the control panel.
Air conditioner switch
If the climate control system is in automatic mode or the fan is on, press the button to «A/C» you can turn the air conditioner on or off (performing the functions of cooling and dehumidifying the air).
Choice between modes «A/C» And «A/C ECON» carried out automatically. In economy mode (A/C ECO) the effectiveness of air cooling and removal of condensate from the windshield are reduced. However, using this mode reduces the load on the air conditioning system. The air conditioner may not work if the ambient temperature approaches 0°C (the indicator stays on even if the system is turned off).
Interior ventilation mode switch
You can select the supply air mode or the air recirculation mode. Press the switch button to select one of two interior ventilation modes.
