Remove the diffuser, then remove the license plate light bulb (Fig. 7.38).
Remove the license plate light from the rear bumper.
Remove the rear trunk trim.
Remove the fasteners and bend the side trim of the trunk back slightly (right)
Remove the fasteners and bend the trunk side trim back a little. (left) ("sedan")
Remove the cover of the technological hole. (left) ("hatchback")
Remove the rear combination light.

Disconnect the license plate light connector (Fig. 7.39).
Remove the rear bumper.
Remove the clips from the rear bumper.
Remove the license plate light harness and tape.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
