Measure the circumferential clearance between the pressure plate and the air conditioning compressor pulley using a feeler gauge (Fig. 8.94).
Make sure the gap is within specifications.

If this is not the case, remove the pressure plate and adjust the clearance by selecting a 0.2–0.5 mm shim or several shims (Fig. 8.95).
