Make sure the battery is fully charged.
Make sure the alternator belt deflection and tension are within the specified values.
Turn off all electrical consumers.
Turn the ignition switch to the "START" position and make sure that the generator rotates smoothly and does not make noise while the engine is running.

Measure the voltage between the generator terminals (see fig. 7.6) at idle (at 20°C) according to table 7.1.
- headlights;
- heater fan motor;
- rear window heater.
Make sure that the voltage at the generator "D" terminal gradually increases.

* Turn on the following power consumers one by one:
- headlights;
– heater fan electric motor;
- rear window heater.
