- isolate the positive and negative poles of the battery with cellophane or electrical tape;
- do not disassemble the batteries;
- do not throw batteries into fire or water;
- Do not deform or crush batteries.
Attention! The following signs indicate a discharged state of the battery:
- - when the engine is not running, the indicator flashes «KEY» (Green colour), located on the dashboard;
- - the system does not work, when you press the control buttons, the indicator built into the card does not light up;
- - reduction of the range of the wearable card.

To avoid wearable card failure «Advanced Key» Have the battery replaced only by an Authorized Mazda Dealer. When replacing the battery yourself, do the following: (see fig. 1.17):
- A. Remove the auxiliary key from the card.
- B. Use a flathead screwdriver to release the battery cover. Then turn and remove the cover.
Attention! Do not rotate the cover too far, as this may damage it.
- C. Insert the tip of a flathead screwdriver into the slot and remove the battery.
- D. Insert a new battery (CR2025 or fully equivalent), so that the positive pole of the element (+) located on the same side as the marking (+), printed on the lid.
- E. Turn and close the cover.
If your wearable card is lost or stolen, contact your authorized Mazda dealer immediately to have the lost or stolen card replaced and blocked. At the same time, you must take with you all the remaining wearable cards you have «Advanced Key».
