Your Mazda is equipped with standard ISOFIX anchorages that are designed to accommodate a genuine Mazda child restraint system in the outer rear seating positions.

1. Move the front passenger seat to its rearmost position. Then move the seat forward at least 100 mm so that the seat is in the middle of the longitudinal adjustment range. This will provide enough space to install a child restraint system (fig. 1.145).

2. Make sure that the seat back is securely locked in place by pushing the seat back backwards until the lock engages.

3. Slightly spread the gap between the seat cushion and the seat back to provide access to the ISOFIX mounting brackets (fig. 1.146).

Note: Markings located on the seat backs indicate the location of the ISOFIX mounting brackets for fitting child restraints.

Attach the child restraint system to the ISOFIX brackets following the instructions of the specific product manufacturer.

If the child restraint system is equipped with a top tether, it is very important to properly secure the tether to ensure the child's passive safety. When installing the top tether, strictly follow the instructions provided by the child restraint system manufacturer.
