Mazda strongly recommends that when transporting small children in a vehicle, the use of special child restraint systems that ensure passive child safety.
We recommend using genuine Mazda child restraints or equivalent products that comply with the requirements of the European UNECE Regulation R44. If you wish to purchase a genuine Mazda child restraint, please contact your authorized Mazda dealer.
Check the requirements of the regulations in force in your country regarding the safety of young children when transporting them in a car.
Regardless of the brand of child restraint system used, it must be appropriate for the age and size of the child. When installing and using a child restraint system, follow the requirements of current regulations and all manufacturer's instructions that are included with the specific product. If the child has outgrown the child restraint system, he or she must be placed in the rear seat and be fastened with a seat belt.
Child restraints must be installed in the rear seat.
Statistics confirm that the safest place for children under 12 years of age is the back seat.
(Data provided by the website: www.MazBook.ru)
This is especially true for vehicles equipped with airbags. It is strictly FORBIDDEN to install child restraints on the front passenger seat, in which the child is oriented facing backwards, if the front passenger airbags are not disabled. The front passenger seat is also the least suitable place to install other types of child restraints. Some vehicles have a switch designed to turn off the front passenger's airbags (additional equipment).
