The front passenger airbag deactivation switch allows you to deactivate the front passenger's front and side airbags, as well as the pretensioner of the respective seat belt. Check that the passenger's airbag switch is in the «ON» (included), unless a child restraint is installed in the front passenger seat. When the ignition switch is turned to position «ON» (ignition on) the front passenger's airbag deactivation indicator comes on for about 6 seconds (pic. 1.149).
Note. In any of the following cases, you should have an authorized dealer check the passenger airbag deactivator.
- - The airbag deactivation indicator does not come on when the ignition switch is turned to «ON» (ignition on).
- - The airbag deactivation indicator does not illuminate when the ignition is on and the front passenger's airbag switch is set to «OFF» (turned off).
- - The airbag deactivation indicator stays on when the ignition is on and the passenger's airbag switch is set to «ON» (included).
