The DSC indicator lamp is located in the instrument cluster and notifies the driver that DSC is activated (the car is in sideways slip) or TCS activation (drive wheel slippage) if the DSC system is not switched off using the DSC system switch.
When the DSC and CAN systems are functioning properly, the DSC indicator lamp lights up for 2–4 seconds when the ignition key is turned to the ON position and goes out when the lamp is checked for proper operation. When the system is malfunctioning, the DSC indicator lamp remains on.
