Blocking rear door locks from opening from inside the car (Mazda 3 BK)

The additional deadbolt system is designed to prevent children riding in the back seat from accidentally opening the rear doors. If you are transporting a child in the vehicle, always engage the additional deadbolt system on both rear doors.



To lock the rear door from opening from inside the vehicle, open the door, insert the key into the slot and turn it to the lock position. Once closed, the door cannot be opened from inside the vehicle. It can only be opened from outside the vehicle by pulling the door handle towards you (Fig. 1.25).
