Pull the handle towards you and lift the rear door (Fig. 1.27).
If the battery of a vehicle equipped with a remote control central lock is discharged or the electrical equipment is faulty and you cannot unlock the rear tailgate lock, follow the steps below to unlock the lock manually.

Using a flat-head screwdriver, remove the plug located on the inner trim panel of the rear luggage compartment door (Fig. 1.28).
Move the lever to the right to unlock the rear door.
