Check the condition and tightness of all engine cooling system and heater hose connections. Replace any deformed or damaged hoses.

When the engine is cold, the coolant level should be at the base of the radiator filler neck and between the upper ("FULL") and lower ("LOW") marks on the wall of the expansion tank (fig. 1.173).
If the coolant level has dropped to the lower mark ("LOW"), add liquid to the expansion tank up to the upper mark ("FULL"). To prevent the coolant from freezing and to ensure anti-corrosion protection of the engine, use only the recommended brand and required concentration of coolant for topping up.
Note: If the radiator cap or expansion tank is marked "FL22" on or near the cap, only FL22 coolant should be added.
