Spark plug — description (Mazda 3 BK)

An iridium spark plug is used. The central electrode has a diameter of 0.6 mm and is made of an iridium alloy.

A thinner central electrode reduced electrical discharge and improved ignition performance, which in turn provided consistent performance under all driving conditions and significantly improved fuel economy (Fig. 2.71).
