Note: If you do not have a special fuel injector tester, follow these steps: "Fuel Leak Test", to check the serviceability of the fuel injector.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the fuel injectors.
Connect the fuel injector to the fuel injector tester.
Measure the volume of fuel injected by each fuel injector using a graduated container. If the leakage amount is greater than the standard, replace the fuel injector.
Fuel injection volume:
- L3: 61–71 ml/15 sec;
- LF: 53–69 ml/15 sec;
- L8: 48–63 ml/15 sec.
Turn the ignition key to the LOCK position and remove the jumper wire.
