Since the vehicle uses a returnless fuel system, the fuel pump unit, except for the fuel gauge sensor, is integrated. In order to prevent the engine power from decreasing due to insufficient fuel supply, such as when the vehicle is turning, the fuel pump has been designed to provide a constant supply of fuel. The fuel remaining in the fuel pump tank is supplied from two sources: a check valve and an ejector (fig. 2.62, 2.63).
