Place pieces of calibrated plastic wire on top of the camshaft journals, aligning them along the axis (2.170).
Install the connecting rod bearing and connecting rod cap.
Remove the connecting rod cover.
Measure the connecting rod radial clearance.
If the clearance is not within specification, replace the connecting rod bearing or regrind the crankshaft journal and use oversized bearings to ensure the specified clearance.
- Normal clearance: 0.026–0.052 mm
- Maximum gap: 0.10 mm
