Remove the air filter.
Close the air damper completely, locking the throttle control sector.
Disconnect the air hose from the air damper pneumatic actuator fitting and connect a vacuum pump to the fitting.
Apply a vacuum of 400 mm Hg to the diaphragm of the air damper pneumatic drive.
Measure the gap "A" between the air damper and the air nozzle, which should be within 0.85-1.35 mm for the E1 engine carburetor, and within 1.30-1.80 mm for the E3 and E5 engine carburetor.
If there is any deviation from the norm, bend the mounting tab of the connecting rod to the required angle.
