Measure the degree of warpage of the cylinder block surface in six directions as shown in Figure 2.159.
If the deformation exceeds the maximum, replace the cylinder block.

Measure the cylinder diameters in the X and Y directions at a distance of 42 mm from the top surface (fig. 2.160).

If the cylinder diameter exceeds the wear limit, replace the cylinder block.
- Standard diameter limit L8: 83.000-83.030mm;
- LF, L3, L3 (with variable valve timing mechanism): 87,500–87,530 mm;
- Min/max cylinder diameter L8: 82.940–83.090 mm;
- LF, L3, L3 (with variable valve timing mechanism): 87.440–87.590 mm.
