Checking the cylinder block (Mazda CX-5KE)

1. Using a straightedge and a set of flat feeler gauges, measure the amount of deformation of the cylinder block surface in six directions as shown in the figure. If the measured value exceeds the maximum permissible value (0.10 mm), replace the cylinder block with a new one.



2. Using a bore gauge, measure the cylinder bore diameter in the X and Y directions at a distance of 43.9 mm from the top surface of the cylinder, as shown in the figure. If the measured value is not within the standard, replace the cylinder block with a new one.

Note: Standard cylinder bore diameter: 89.000-89.030mm.
