Attention. If it is necessary to replace the piston or piston pin, replace the piston, piston pin and circlips in one set.
1. Using a micrometer, measure the outer diameter of the piston pin in eight positions - in the X and Y directions at four points (A, B, C and D), as it shown on the picture.
Note: Standard piston pin outer diameter: 20.995-21.000 mm.
2. Using an inside micrometer, measure the diameter of the piston pin hole in eight positions - in the X and Y directions at four points (A, B, C and D), as it shown on the picture.
Note: Standard piston pin bore diameter: 21.004-21.008 mm.
3. Calculate the clearance between the piston pin and the bore in the piston. If the value obtained is not correct, replace the piston or piston pin with a new one.
Note: Standard clearance between piston bore and piston pin: 0.004-0.013 mm.
4. Using an inside micrometer, measure the inside diameter of the connecting rod head bore in the X and Y directions as shown in the figure.
Note: Standard connecting rod top bore bore diameter: 21.002-21.013mm.
5. Calculate the clearance between the connecting rod bore and the piston pin. If the value obtained is incorrect, replace the connecting rod or piston pin.
Note: Standard clearance between connecting rod bore and piston pin: 0.002-0.018mm.
