Note:
- Standard side clearance of the lower connecting rod head: 0.14-0.36 mm.
- Maximum permissible lateral clearance of the lower connecting rod head: 0.465 mm.
2. Measure the oil clearance in the connecting rod bearing:
- Place a section of the round feeler gauge equal to the width of the crankpin parallel to the crankshaft, avoiding blocking the oil hole.
- Install the lower connecting rod bearing and connecting rod cap.
- Tighten the connecting rod bolts.
- Remove the connecting rod cap.
- Measure the oil clearance in the connecting rod bearing at the most flattened part of the round feeler gauge. If the measured value exceeds the maximum permissible value, replace the connecting rod bearings or bore the connecting rod journal and use connecting rod bearings of a repair size to obtain the required clearance.

Note:
- Standard oil clearance in connecting rod bearing: 0.026-0.052 mm.
- Maximum permissible oil clearance in the connecting rod bearing: 0.10 mm.
Connecting rod bearing sizes:
- Standard size: 1.502-1.519 mm.
- Repair size +0.25: 1.628-1.631 mm.
- Repair size +0.50: 1.753-1.765 mm.
