Make sure that when you move the lever to each position with the brake pedal depressed, you hear a click.
Make sure that the selector lever can be moved.
Make sure that when you move the lever, with the brake pedal pressed, to each position from P to l, you hear a click.
Make sure that the corresponding indicator lights up in each selector lever position.
If this is not the case, adjust the transmission range switch.
