Press the locking mechanism and rest it against the brake pedal limiter bracket.

From this position, move the locking mechanism to securely lock the locking mechanism hook into the bracket hole as shown in Figure 3.94.
Caution! Bending or twisting the locking cable during installation may adversely affect the operation of the locking mechanism.

Install the locking cable end onto the cam pin on the selector lever (Fig. 3.95).

Place the locking cable into the U-shaped groove of the selector lever support plate and install the clamp (Fig. 3.96).
Caution: Applying force to the locking cable when installing the lock may adversely affect the operation of the locking mechanism.
Press the locking cable release button before locking it.

Remove the locking mechanism pin as shown in Figure 3.97.
Turn the ignition key to the ACC position.
Install the lock cable onto the key cylinder.

Move the outer casing towards the key cylinder and place the clamp on the convex part of the outer casing (Fig. 3.98).
