Brake hoses should be checked at least twice a year.

To prevent sudden failure of the brake system, carefully check the condition of all pipes and connections, paying particular attention to the following:

1. Metal pipelines must be free of scratches and corrosion and located away from sharp edges that could damage them.

2. The brake hose must be elastic, have no tears or cracks, and be firmly sealed in the tips. The threads of the hose tips must not be damaged. If the hose swells when you press the brake pedal, the cord threads are torn. If any of these defects are detected, the hose must be replaced. Hoses must not come into contact with mineral oils and lubricants that dissolve rubber.

3. All pipeline fastening brackets must be intact and well secured. Loosening or breaking of brackets leads to vibration of pipelines, which causes them to break.

4. No leakage of brake fluid from the connections of the master cylinder with the pipelines and reservoir is allowed.

If any faults are detected, replace the damaged parts with new ones. Flexible hoses, regardless of their condition, should be replaced with new ones after 120,000 km or after five years of vehicle operation to prevent sudden ruptures due to rubber aging. A brake hose that rubs against suspension parts wears out and eventually fails.

Use a mirror and light to check.
