The indicator may then turn on and remain lit or flash in the following cases:
- the indicator lights up constantly when there is a fault with the 4WD transmission;
- the indicator flashes when the oil in the main gear is overheated;
- the indicator flashes if there is a significant difference between the rotation speeds of the front and rear wheels for a sufficiently long period of time, for example when driving on a slippery icy surface.
