Measure the valve tappet bore inner diameter in X and Y directions at two points (A and B) (fig. 2.157).
- Inner diameter: 31.00-31.03 mm.

Measure the outside diameter of the valve tappet body in the X and Y directions at two points (A and B) (fig. 2.158).
- Outer diameter: 30.97-30.98 mm.
Subtract the valve tappet body outside diameter from the valve tappet bore inside diameter. If clearance is not within specification, replace the valve tappet or cylinder head.
- Standard gap: 0.02–0.06 mm.
- Maximum: 0.15 mm.
