Attention.
- A hot engine can cause burns. Before starting work, turn off the engine and wait until it cools down.
- Do not disassemble the electric valve timing actuator as it is a precision unit.
- Do not apply excessive force to turn the valve timing actuator connection. If you turn it with excessive force, the actuator may be damaged.
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the decorative engine cover.
3. Remove the electric drive of the valve timing regulator.
4. Rotate the phase regulator electric drive connection left and right with your fingers to ensure that it rotates smoothly in 15° increments.
Note:
- Gently rotate the connecting area with your fingertips.
- The phase regulator electric drive rotates in 15° increments, which means that if you move the rotor 24 times, it will rotate one full revolution.
5. If the rotor does not rotate smoothly, replace the phase regulator electric drive with a new one.
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
