Measure the axial clearance of the camshaft (fig. 2.156).
If the clearance is not within specification, replace the cylinder head or camshaft.
- Standard axial clearance: 0.09–0.24 mm.
- Maximum axial clearance: 0.25 mm.
Remove the camshaft bearing cap again.
