Removal



Remove the front crossmember assembly.

Remove the anti-roll bar.

Remove the stabilizer bracket.

Examination



Remove the stabilizer bar from the vehicle.

Check for deformation and damage.

Measure the ball joint torque.

Rock the ball joint from side to side 10 times.

Rotate the ball joint pin 10 turns (Fig. 4.19).

Measure the torque using a suitable socket and torque wrench.

Moment of resistance: 0.23–0.47 N·m.

Installation



Apply rubber grease to the inside surface of the stabilizer bushing.



Align the bushing with the inside of the stabilizer bar mounting plate.

Install the stabilizer bracket (Fig. 4.20).

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Adjust the headlight zero setting.
