The rear suspension (Fig. 4.26) uses strut/spring assemblies. The upper end of each strut is attached to the car body. The lower ends of the struts are attached to the axle housing. The knuckle is held in position by a pair of lower arms on each side, and a longitudinal balance beam mounted between the car body and the knuckle.
