Pic. 1.183. Battery Preventive Maintenance
To ensure the reliability and long life of the battery, follow these instructions: (pic. 1.183).
Remove the cover before servicing the battery.
The battery must be securely attached to the vehicle.
Keep the top of the battery clean and dry.
Keep the battery contact pins and wire terminals clean. Terminals must be securely tightened and coated with protective grease.
If electrolyte gets on the battery, immediately wash it off with an aqueous solution of baking soda.
If the car will not be used for a long time, disconnect the wire terminals from the contact pins of the battery.
