When installing and securing child restraints, it is necessary to switch the reel to the automatic locking mode. This will prevent the child restraint from moving dangerously in the event of an accident. To activate the automatic locking mode, fully pull the seat belt out from the reel. Then secure the child restraint with the seat belt, following the instructions of the specific product manufacturer. The seat belt will pull the child restraint and remain in the locked position.
