The side airbag modules are installed on the outer side of the front seat backs.

Side airbag module (fig. 7.101) consists of a supercharger, a module cover and an inflatable safety cushion.
When the airbag deploys (unfolds), the side airbag module cover is separated by the pressure of argon generated by the inflator when the airbag is inflated.
