Before removing the airbag, disconnect the negative battery cable and set it aside.
When disconnecting the battery cables, keep people away from the driver and front passenger air bags.
When removed, the airbag must always be positioned with the trim facing upwards.
During breaks in work, do not leave the airbag unattended.
The airbag unit must not be disassembled; if it is faulty, it must be replaced as a set. Since it contains explosive substances, the unit must be stored in a container or covered. The airbag must be disposed of in a workshop.
During long-term repairs, the undischarged airbag assembly must be stored in a closed container.
The airbag should only be checked in a workshop. Do not use a test lamp, voltmeter or ohmmeter.

Do not allow the airbag assembly to come into contact with lubricants or cleaning agents.
The steering wheel pad must not stick, pull out or be subjected to any impacts. It can only be cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth and a cleaning agent recommended by the manufacturer.
The airbag assembly and control unit are sensitive to impacts. If they fall from a height of more than 50 cm, they cannot be used any more. If the height is less, the airbag must be checked by a workshop.
If the airbag deploys during an accident, all airbag components must be replaced with new ones (in the workshop).
When welding, connect the connecting terminals of the welding machine near the welding site.
