Removing
Mark the positions of the front wheels so that the balanced wheels can then be returned to their original positions. With the vehicle on the ground, loosen the wheel nuts. Raise and support the vehicle at the front and remove the front wheels.
Loosen locknut (1), while holding the tie rod by the flats with an open-end wrench.
Note: The left tie rod has a left hand thread, the right tie rod has a right hand thread.
Ford Fiesta/Mazda 121: unscrew the self-locking nut (3), while holding the pivot pin with a hex wrench (2).
Ford KA: unscrew castle nut (D), by pulling out the pin (E), with tie rod end (A) on the steering knuckle (F). (B - locknut; C - tie rod).
Press the tie rod joint out of the steering knuckle using a suitable puller (4).
Attention: After removing the tie rod joint from the steering knuckle, wrap it with rags to protect it from damage.

Attention: Calculate the number of turns and, when installing, screw the tip in the same way. Remember that the left tie rod has a left hand thread and the right tie rod has a right hand thread.
Installation
Screw the hinge (tip) tie rod to the marked number of revolutions and secure it with a lock nut. Just tighten the locknut, but do not tighten yet.
Attention: If you remove both tips (hinge), then don't confuse them. The letter L is embossed on the left tip, and the letter R is stamped on the right tip.
Insert pivot pin into steering knuckle.
Ford Fiesta/Mazda 121: Install a new self-locking nut onto the pivot pin while holding the pin with a hex wrench. Tighten the nut to 35 Nm.
Ford KA: Tighten castle nut to 25 Nm and secure with a new cotter pin. If the cotter pin does not go through the hole, then do not loosen the nut, but tighten it so that the cotter pin can enter.
Install the front wheels in accordance with the marks made earlier. Lubricate the centering socket for the wheel hub before doing this. Do not lubricate the threads of the wheel studs. Tighten the wheel nuts. Lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel nuts crosswise to 40 Nm.
Rock the car a little to set the suspension.
Tighten the tie rod end locknut to 65 Nm.
Check front wheel alignment (In workshop).
