The steering shaft consists of upper and lower parts connected by a cardan joint. Depending on the modification, the steering column can be adjusted in height.
The steering drive consists of the right and left steering rods, the ball joints of which are fixed on the steering knuckles.
Power steering is available upon request. The distributor, power cylinder and steering gear are combined in one unit. The distributor of spool type. The power steering pump is vane, belt driven from the crankshaft pulley.

Power steering pump drive belt
The power steering pump is driven by a V-belt from the crankshaft pulley.
The normal deflection of the belt should be within 8-10 mm with a force of 10 kgf.

- Mechanical steering and power steering:
- Steering wheel nut: 4.0-5.0.
- Bolt for fastening the crankcase of the steering gear to the bulkhead shield: 3.2-4.7.
- Tie rod inner joint: 8.0-10.0.
- Tie rod lock nut: 3.5-4.0.
- Nut of fastening of a spherical finger of draft: 3,0-4,5.
- Mechanical steering:
- Drive gear cover: 7.0-9.0.
- Lock nut drive gear cover: 8.0-10.0 (7,0-9,0) *.
- Lock nut of an adjusting cover of an emphasis of a lath: 4,0-6,0 (6,0-7,5) *.
