The steering shaft consists of an upper and lower part connected by a cardan joint. Depending on the modification, the steering column can be adjusted in height.
The steering drive consists of right and left steering rods, the ball joints of which are fixed to the steering knuckles.
Power steering is available on request. The distributor, power cylinder and steering gear are combined in one unit. The distributor is of the spool type. The power steering pump is of the vane type, with a belt drive from the crankshaft pulley.

The normal deflection of the belt should be within 8-10 mm with a force of 10 kgf.

- Mechanical steering and power steering:
- Steering wheel mounting nut: 4.0-5.0.
- Bolt for fastening the steering gear housing to the front shield: 3.2-4.7.
- Inner tie rod joint: 8.0-10.0.
- Tie rod lock nut: 3.5-4.0.
- Ball joint tie rod mounting nut: 3.0-4.5.
- Mechanical steering:
- Drive gear cover: 7.0-9.0.
- Drive Pinion Cover Lock Nut: 8.0-10.0(7.0-9.0)*.
- Rack stop adjustment cap lock nut: 4.0-6.0 (6.0-7.5)*.
