If the warning light stays on or does not come on at all when the ignition switch is turned to the «ON» (ignition on), then the airbag system or seat belt pretensioners are faulty. In this case, immediately contact a service station of an authorized Mazda dealer. If the warning light indicates a malfunction, the airbags or pretensioners may not deploy in the event of an accident.
If a malfunction in the airbag/pretensioner system is detected and the malfunction warning light is illuminated, the malfunction chime will sound at the same time. Every minute, a beep sounds for about five seconds.
The fault alarm will sound for approximately 35 minutes.
