- Seat belts may be damaged if they have been used by passengers in a collision and must be replaced.
- Never place passengers in the luggage loading area of a vehicle. People who do not wear seat belts risk being seriously injured in the event of a collision.
Seat belt design (Mazda Capella GC)
To reduce the risk of injury in an accident or in the event of a sudden stop, it is recommended that you always use the seat belts that your vehicle is equipped with. Standard front and rear seat belts are equipped with occupant restraint system retractors. Retractors support seat belts while passengers enter or exit the vehicle. The idle lock ensures freedom of movement and passenger comfort until a sudden reduction in speed occurs (sudden braking or collision). At this point, the seat belts automatically lock and the passengers do not move forward.
