Attention.
- A hot engine can cause burns. Before starting work, turn off the engine and wait until it cools down.
- If the rubber part of the automatic drive belt tensioner is damaged by a screwdriver or other tool, oil from the hydraulic pressure unit may leak out, causing the tensioner to stop working normally. Be careful not to damage the rubber part of the automatic drive belt tensioner.

1. Remove the generator drive belt.
Caution: To prevent damage to the automatic drive belt tensioner, do not apply excessive force after turning the tensioner to the stop.
2. Insert the key into the hexagon of the automatic drive belt tensioner and, slowly turning it in the direction of the arrow in the figure, fully compress the tensioner.

Note: The automatic drive belt tensioner can be tightened and loosened by turning the key.

3. Check that the automatic tensioner of the drive belt moves smoothly in the working direction. If it does not, it means that air has entered the hydraulic pressure unit of the tensioner. To remove the air, squeeze and release the automatic tensioner from stop to stop three times. If after removing the air, the automatic tensioner still does not move smoothly, replace it with a new one.
Note: As the automatic tensioner is compressed/uncompressed from stop to stop, the piston inside the tensioner moves, forcing air out.

4. Turn the automatic drive belt tensioner pulley by hand to make sure it rotates smoothly. If not, replace the automatic drive belt tensioner with a new one.
5. Install the generator drive belt.
