Water pump drive belt



Note: Due to the use of an expandable water pump drive belt, checking the alternator drive belt deflection/tension is not necessary.


1. Visually or by touch check that there is no wear, damage or cracks on the inside and sides of the entire belt. Even if there is minor wear, damage or cracks, replace the water pump drive belt with a new one.

2. Start the engine to make sure there is no extraneous noise. If there is noise, replace the water pump drive belt with a new one.
