Checking the ignition timing (Mazda CX-5KE)

Note:

• The ignition timing angle is not adjustable.
• The M-MDS device is used to check the ignition timing.

1. Prepare for engine parameter checks.

2. Check the ignition timing angle (M-MDS: "SPARKADV").

Note: Ignition advance angle 14° BTDC.

3. Make sure that the ignition is gradually shifted towards the advance as the crankshaft speed increases. If any deviations from the norm are detected, it is necessary to perform a more detailed diagnosis and eliminate the malfunction.
