Note: If the accelerator pedal is continuously depressed for a certain period of time, the engine speed may drop to idle speed. This is due to the fuel cut control function that prevents the engine from overheating, and is not a malfunction. The engine speed will return to normal after the accelerator pedal is released.

1. Connect the M-MDS device to the DLC-2 connector.

2. Move the gear shift lever (manual transmission) or selector lever (automatic transmission) to the following positions:
  • Manual transmission: shift lever to neutral position.
  • Automatic transmission: selector lever in position P or N.

Note: The temperature of the coolant and engine oil can be determined using the M-MDS device in the "ECT" and "OIL_TEMP" sections.

3. Start the engine at 2500-3000 rpm and warm it up to operating temperature (coolant temperature: 80°C or higher); oil temperature: 60°C or higher).

4. Turn off all electrical consumers and leave the engine idling.

5. If the radiator fan is running, wait until it stops.
