Check the ignition timing.
Disconnect the vacuum hose from the distributor sensor.
Connect a phase shift strobe light between the high voltage wire of the 1st cylinder and the tachometer.
Taking division 0 of the ignition timing scale as the reference point, check the characteristics of the centrifugal regulator according to the graph given in the subsection "Detailed technical specifications".
If the characteristics differ from those given, check the ignition distributor sensor on the bench.
