Removal
After unscrewing the fastening screws, remove the distributor sensor cover.
Disconnect the vacuum hose from the distributor sensor.
Disconnect the switch plug.
Loosen the nuts securing the ignition distributor sensor to the cylinder head.
Remove the ignition distributor sensor.
Installation
Check the condition of the distributor shaft seal and replace it if necessary.
The shaft of the ignition distributor sensor is connected to the tail of the camshaft in only one position. Therefore, before installation, turn the shaft to a position so that the shaft cams-couplings are opposite the grooves of the camshaft. Insert the distributor sensor into the socket.
Tighten the nuts securing the ignition distributor sensor housing.
Install the rotor.
Install the cover and tighten the screws that secure it.
Connect the vacuum hose and plug into the switch plug.
Start the engine and use a stroboscope to check the ignition timing.
Tighten the nuts securing the ignition distributor housing to the cylinder head.
