To shift the transmission to an adjacent higher gear (relative to the current transmission), press the lever back (+).
If the vehicle is moving slowly, the transmission may not shift into higher gears (depending on the speed of the car). If manual mode is enabled, the transmission will not shift to higher gears automatically. It is prohibited to exceed the permissible engine crankshaft speed: the tachometer needle should not enter the RED ZONE of the scale. If the tachometer needle has entered the RED ZONE, you may feel engine braking, since in this case the fuel supply to the engine is cut off. This is intended to protect the engine from damage. However, this does not indicate any malfunction of the car.
