To shift the transmission to an adjacent higher gear (relative to the current transmission), push the lever back (+).
If the vehicle is moving slowly, the transmission may not shift into higher gears (depending on vehicle speed). If manual mode is enabled, the transmission will not shift up automatically. It is forbidden to exceed the permissible revolutions of the engine crankshaft: the tachometer needle must not enter the RED ZONE of the scale. If the tachometer needle goes into the RED ZONE, you may feel engine braking as the fuel supply to the engine is cut off. This is to protect the engine from damage. However, this does not indicate any malfunction of the car.
