To move the lever out of the "P" (park) position, do the following:
- press and hold the brake pedal;
- start the engine;
- move the range selector lever.
Note: The range selector lever cannot be moved out of the "P" (park) position if the ignition switch is in the "ACC" position (auxiliary consumers of electricity) or "LOCK" (blocking). As a safety precaution, the ignition key cannot be removed from the ignition switch unless the range selector lever is in the "P" (park) position.
For cars with a wearable card "Advanced Key"): the ignition switch cannot be turned from the "ACC" position (auxiliary consumers of electricity) to the "LOCK" position (blocking), if the range selector lever is not in the "P" (parking) position.
