The camshaft position (CMP) detection unit or sensor, which is integrated with the camshaft, is located in the intake camshaft on L8 and LF model engines.

The camshaft position (CMP) sensor detection (trigger) unit is located in the intake camshaft on L3 engines (with variable valve timing mechanism).

The TDC synchronization slot of the first cylinder is located in the rear part of the camshafts driving the intake and exhaust valves (Fig. 2.22).
