Note: The camshaft sprocket of the variable valve timing actuator is integrated with the mechanism itself, so it is removed together with the unit.
Remove the timing chain.

Place a wrench or similar tool in the hexagonal portion of the camshaft to prevent rotation (fig. 2.101).
Remove the mechanism.
To install, perform the same operations in the reverse order of removal. Tightening torque of actuator bolts 69–75 N·m.
